Members of the Saint Mary’s University Faculty Union (SMUFU) Health and Wellness Trust Group Benefits Plan can see a registered Psychologist, Social Worker or Counsellor and 75% of the costs will be covered up to $1500/year.

Staff   

Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) is a voluntary, confidential, short-term counselling and advisory service that connects employees and their eligible family members to a network of dedicated professionals who are able to provide assistance 24 hours a day.  Call 1-844-880-9142, visit one.telushealth.com (username: SMU, password: benefits) or use the TELUS Health One app.  

Staff who opt into the Extended Health Care Benefits via BlueCross can access a Clinical Psychologist, Social Worker, Counselling Therapist, Psychotherapist, Psychoeducators and internet base cognitive behavioural therapy (iCBT) at 100% reimbursement for $3,000 every 12 consecutive months combined.
