Senate Ad-Hoc Committee to Review the Instructor Course Evaluation Process
April 7, 2017 Senate meeting - Moved and seconded “that Senate establish a committee to review the course evaluation process.” Motion carried.
Committee terms of reference:
The purpose of the Ad-Hoc Committee to Review the Instructor Course Evaluation Process:
- to layout and assess the current Instructor Course Evaluation (ICE) administrative processes including both the technological and operational;
- to measure current true costs of the administration of ICE by the Senate and the Studio;
- to investigate current practices at other universities with on-line evaluations
- to investigate the electronic options available for the administration of ICE
- to review specific vendors (minimum of 3) for both a cost/benefit analysis and the development of a Request for Proposal (RFP)
- to do this without compromising the established principles or outcomes of ICE and with the current ICE instrument, and to report to Senate with recommendations.
