Leveraging The Power of Our Use-of-Self to Lead Meaningful Change in Our Workplaces – Beverley Patwell (11:10 am to 11:50 am)
This interactive workshop will introduce tools and techniques to help you reflect on and leverage your Use-of-Self in leading and managing meaningful changes to foster well-being and improve workplace culture. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with others, share experiences, and explore the concept of Use-of-Self as a tool for change. Beverley will also introduce the Leading Meaningful Change (LMC) Framework and practical tools to help you lead with authenticity and drive a culture of well-being in your workplace.

Cultivating an Inclusive Workplace Culture – Amy Sylla (12:40 pm to 1:20 pm)
Join us for a workshop on the importance of workplace culture in enhancing employee experiences and fostering inclusivity. Learn how to define culture, create culture agreements, and develop strategies for embedding cultural values into daily practices. We’ll also cover tools for measuring success and promoting accountability. Walk away with actionable insights to build a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.

Creating Functional Workplace Cultures: A Data-Driven Approach - Alex Gallacher and Dr. Okey Okere (2:05 pm – 2:45 pm)
In this session, participants will explore how to create and sustain functional workplace cultures through a data-driven approach. They will learn to identify the signs and red flags of a dysfunctional or toxic culture and understand the crucial role leaders play in driving cultural transformation. Additionally, participants will discover how to leverage data and practical tools to assess, monitor, and transform their workplace culture, ensuring long-term positive change and improved organizational health.
Managing workplace conflict with the team matrix: a science-based approach – Dr. Dayna Lee-Baggley and Ron Pizzo (2:50 pm – 3:30 pm)
This session will provide training on informal conflict resolution in alignment with Bill C65, providing practical, evidence-based strategies for employees, HR professionals, and leaders. Participants will explore the "Team Matrix," a framework designed to facilitate discussions on difficult topics including conflict while fostering psychological safety. This tool emphasizes "toward" and "away" moves—behaviors that either support or detract from teams’ shared purpose—allowing for open, non-judgmental dialogue. Attendees will learn techniques to address conflict constructively. The session also focuses on overcoming internal barriers, building empathy, and navigating mistakes with compassion.
Building a Hand Drum: Creating a Workplace Heartbeat – Jeff Robert (3:35 pm – 4:15 pm)
In this interactive session, Jeff combines traditional Indigenous knowledge with generative AI to explore creating a meaningful Mission, Vision, and Mandate for an organization. Using the Hand Drum—a symbol of purpose and unity in many First Nation communities—participants will learn how organizational principles shape alignment and direction. Through AI-guided exercises, attendees will collaborate to draft a foundational document for a fictional company, bringing diverse perspectives into a cohesive vision.
