Applying to Graduate
If you wish to graduate, you must submit a formal Graduation Application . Please ensure you download the form before filling it in and submit to graduation@smu.ca when complete.
If you will be complete your studies by the end of the:
- January-April semester: apply for Spring graduation
- May-June or July-August semesters: apply for Fall graduation
- September-December semester: apply for Winter graduation

Each student follows a unique timeline as to when they will finish their requirements. Therefore, you must apply to graduate in order to notify the University when you have chosen to finish your studies.
Note: At the time of application, please ensure you are registered in all courses required to complete your degree/certificate/diploma. To ensure you have registered for all of your required courses, please speak with your Academic Advising office.
