Ph.D. students 

 

Soheil Ahmadi is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate at Sobey School of Business. His research focus has been on Impact Assessment of Innovation Policies, and Web 3, NFTs, and Metaverse. Soheil is also a Time Web3 (TimePieces) Council Member.  


Fariba Seyedjafarrangraz started her Ph.D. in May 2021. She did her Master's in Industrial Engineering - System Management and Productivity in Iran. She has worked as a business analyst and intelligence expert in IT and banking for around 10 years. She has a rich background in product and process innovation development. Her doctoral research is about the digital transformation of the banking sector and the need to build the capacity to engage in this transformation. Her dissertation investigates the capabilities required to endorse the banking industry's performance in the 4th industrial revolution (digitalization). In this research, she helps organizations find the most critical capabilities that banks need to stay competitive with the emergence of industry 4.0 and the recent remarkable advances in cutting-edge technologies and rapid growth in start-up businesses. Fariba has been working as a Research Assistant on different university research projects, including analyzing the role of the craft wine industry on rural revitalization in Nova Scotia, and understanding innovation in the retail sector.
