Merrilee Dahm Larsen

Division Clinical Director, SequelCare of Maine

Dedicated, unstoppable, capable, skilled and genuine. These are just a few of the adjectives Merrilee Dahm Larsen uses when asked to describe her Sobey EMBA colleagues. “I could do this for everyone in the class,” she says. “So many good people!”

Merrilee completed her Sobey EMBA from her home in Maine, “navigating a year filled with organizational and global crisis” and thriving in the program despite the uniquely challenging circumstances brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“You have to make the best of the hand you have been dealt,” Merrilee says. “Sometimes the experience is not what you had hoped but there are lessons in every challenge. Life is more interesting and success is more valued when you have navigated a challenge. There is a lesson in everything.”

She says there was so much to learn from her EMBA colleagues and that getting a chance to work closely with them was “an absolute gift.”

Having completed her EMBA, she is “ready to innovate, ready to build programs, and ready for leadership.” Her goal is to use theory to support organizational growth through evidence-based management and design principles.
