Taking arts into the world

Rohini Bannerjee -Associate Professor, Modern Languages and Classics

Dr. Bannerjee's teaching covers a lot of ground—from literary theory to French language, Women and Gender Studies to Asia and its diasporas, and much more. Her own research seeks to explore and explain some of the issues most relevant to our global community today, especially around Francophonie, immigration, and inclusiveness.

Dr. Bannerjee believes in integrating work in the classroom and in the community, encouraging her language students to practice and learn from each other in public spaces. That interdisciplinary approach to education, and her willingness to mingle learning in public and private, help her students enhance their degree and career paths and see all new possibilities.
