Arjun Asokakumar

We are pleased to announce that our Keynote Speaker is Arjun Asokakumar, MMA, CHRL. 

In his Keynote address, Arjun will discuss some key points in the industry today:

Arjun is the Director of Data Science for HR at RBC. He is a certified HR leader (CHRL) with 15 years of experience in the field. In his current role, he leads a team of data scientists tackling the bank’s most important people-related challenges through advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI. As a subject matter expert, he also participates in the review and assessment of third-party AI technology to be purchased by HR for enterprise use. Over the last year, he has added GenAI development to his portfolio, where he collaborates with other technologists to bring this transformative technology to HR. His previous roles include leading a People Analytics practice at BMO, Capacity and Workforce planning in technology consulting, and various other people operations functions.

Arjun is committed to furthering analytics education and data literacy in HR. This has led to his roles as Program Advisor and Instructor for the People Analytics Certificate program at York University's School of Continuing Studies. Additionally, he has been an industry mentor for various initiatives such as the STEM Fellowship of Ontario and AI4Good. He holds Bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Economics and a Master's degree in Management Analytics (MMA), all from Queen's University.
