Governance & Management

The Senate/Board of Governors of Saint Mary's University (SMU) established the GRI in 1982. The GRI is governed and managed by a Board of Directors, which meets quarterly and is chaired by Dr. S. Karly Kehoe. The board, which is compromised of eight SMU faculty and six members from a range of disciplines and sectors beyond the university, follows a process of collective decision making. The day-to-day management of the GRI is overseen by Karly Kehoe and Mathias Rodorff, the GRI’s Research Manager. This diverse, cohesive, and engaged group of people is committed deeply to the SMU mission of building stronger relationships with the communities that make up Atlantic Canada.
