SMU's Political Science Department is unique. It has a small but vital faculty, whose areas of specialization cover a wide range of topics. Unlike larger departments, professors here are approachable and accessible. Students have the benefit of small classes, many of which are seminars, that are ideally suited for perfecting their oral skills. In writing assignments, students can benefit from close attention and careful commentary. All this creates a learning environment which gives SMU Political Science students a strong foundation upon which to build their future careers.
