Robed students lining up outside to graduate

Convocation Update- COVID-19

On March 18, 2020 the University’s Academic Senate shared with the university community the difficult news that May Convocation ceremonies will not take place in person. This decision was made as part of the university’s response to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

The university shares in the disappointment of students, their families and friends, yet recognizes that this decision was needed in the interest of public safety.

Students will still graduate and receive their degrees. At this time the university is working with the 2020 Grad Class Committee to determine how to celebrate the accomplishments and hard work of all graduating students.

All graduating students will be kept informed as details become available.
