Alexander MacLeod is a professor in the English Language and Literature Department and the Atlantic Canada Studies Program at Saint Mary’s University. His research focuses on theories of literary regionalism and the role that narrative and story telling play in the production of social space and cultural geography. He is the co-editor, with Paul Chafe and Peter Thompson, of Thoughts from the Easter Edge: Rethinking the Place of Atlantic Canadian Literature.

Alexander is also a critically acclaimed fiction writer and a past winner of the O Henry Prize.
