About Rachel Huckle

Rachel Huckle is President and Chief Operating Officer at Staples Canada and joined the organization in 2019 as Chief Retail Officer. She has over 20 years of progressive experience in the Food and Drug, Health and Wellness, and Office Supply and Services industries.

In October 2022, Rachel was appointed to President of StaplesCanada. In this new role, she leads he Staples retail network, and services, merchandising, marketing, and online businesses toward the company’s goal of delivering a world-class and seamless omnichannel experience.

Rachel is an accomplished retail executive with over 20 years of diverse leadership experience in operations, merchandising, digital health, office and wellness products, and strategic management with multiple large-scale retail businesses, including Shoppers Drug Mart and Loblaw.

Rachel’s passion is placing the employee and the customer at the center of every business decision, which continues to be the key to her success.

Rachel holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Rotman School of Management (University of Toronto), and a Master’s of Finance from the Smith School of Business (Queen’s University).

She has been a Director on The North West Company’s (TSX: NWC) Board of Directors, since 2022.

Rachel has one son, Elliot, who is 29 years old and lives in Toronto, Ontario. In her spare time, she enjoys getting outdoors, jumping on her Peloton, and playing with her four dogs.

Rachel is a conscientious leader who advances high standards of excellence, and guides and inspires others to achieve excellence in life and productivity. She is a resourceful and determined executive who effectively guides and inspires decision-making in a manner and communication style that builds rapport, trust, and respect.
