Keep It Social
At Saint Mary’s University, we believe in fostering a vibrant and supportive community where students can thrive both academically and socially. The "Keep It Social" program is all about promoting responsible and enjoyable social interactions among our students.
"Keep It Social" is a program designed to encourage safe and responsible socializing among students. Whether it's attending events, participating in campus activities, or simply hanging out with friends, our goal is to ensure that every student has the tools and knowledge to make healthy and safe choices.

How to Keep It Social
- Know what’s in your drink
Always be aware of the ingredients and strength of your beverage. This knowledge helps you make safer choices and avoid overconsumption. - Know your cannabis
Understand the effects and potency of any cannabis products you use. Be mindful of how it interacts with other substances and your personal health. - Plan a safe night
Before heading out, make a plan to ensure your safety. Arrange transportation, set check-ins with friends, and know your limits. - Look out for your friends
Keep an eye on your friends and ensure everyone stays safe. Stick together, especially when going to and leaving events. - Stash your cash
Bring only the amount of cash you need for the night. This reduces the risk of losing large sums of money and helps you manage your spending. - Pace yourself
Avoid drinking too much too quickly. Space out your drinks with water or non-alcoholic beverages to maintain control. - Stay hydrated
Drink plenty of water throughout the night to stay hydrated, especially if consuming alcohol. This helps mitigate the effects of alcohol and keeps you feeling better. - Pressure
Don't succumb to peer pressure. Make decisions based on your own comfort and well-being. It's okay to say no.
