We are committed to building pathways to success that empower our students to be confident global citizens, and to creating opportunities to acquire the intercultural competencies critical for societal wellbeing.

Objectives

Enhance educational access and support for learners from Mi’kmaw and African Nova Scotian communities, those who are first-generation university students or who represent economically or historically disadvantaged communities

Improve online access and content delivery in targeted program areas to provide greater flexibility and accessibility for all learners

Explore new pathways to degree completion and certificates by increasing transfer agreements with peer educational institutions

Provide learning supports for academic success, including a range of accessibility and wellness supports through the Fred Smithers Centre for Student Accessibility, Student Success Centre and The Studio, and research and information literacy services provided by the Patrick Power Library

Strengthen our leadership in intercultural engagement through our student programming, initiatives and activities

Strengthen academic programming related to sport, business and health

Provide students with more leadership, entrepreneurship and experiential learning opportunities.
