The university’s emphasis on fostering a culture of research, teaching and learning aligns with my own journey. I’ve found that classes delve into pressing current societal issues, urging us to contemplate their implications. Engaging with research and readings that address these contemporary challenges instills in us a sense of responsibility to effect positive change in our communities.
As the landscape of education and knowledge evolves, we need to be able to get ahead of it and adapt to this change, be it in our curriculum, the tools we use to learn, or the way we comprehend and process information. Saint Mary’s is a leading institution in innovation and research and I have felt and seen the university adapt and find innovative ways to implement change into our curriculum.
