The Startup 100

The Startup 100 is helping students create 100 new ventures across Nova Scotia. The project is coordinated and administered by the Sobey School Business Development Centre in partnership with the Government of Nova Scotia and Enactus Saint Mary’sParticipants will consist of entrepreneurial youth from 50 communities across the province. It gives 100 participants the opportunity to establish and pursue entrepreneurship and venture creation.



Youth in the program will:  

  • Innovate and become entrepreneurial thinkers.
  • Launch successful businesses
  • Develop an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Participate in an innovative online training program that will move them from idea to launch
  • Earn recognition for every goal achieved
  • Access up to $5,000 in interest free funding (10% rebate) through Students in Business
  • Network with 99 other student entrepreneurs
  • Gain access to top mentors in their community
  • Receive free consulting and coaching from Enactus Saint Mary’s students
  • Take part in a flagship program to put on your resume
  • Participate in the experience of a lifetime

The foundation of the project is the development of entrepreneurial interests, gaining real life experience, and access resources and information to prepare participants for running their own business.
