Paige Bigelow
Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia
Paige Bigelow chose Saint Mary’s for its top-notch Sobey School of Business and smaller class sizes that produce a more personal learning experience. Even though the pandemic made her final year of high school challenging, she still managed an impressive collection of accomplishments.
As a Junior Explorer leader since 2015, Paige leads games, crafts, and other activities for girls aged six to 12, including fundraising for a new international service project each year. Paige found her passion for the environment as a camper at Kingswood Camp, later earning a job as a cabin leader. She played on the senior girls’ basketball team for the first three years of high school, and in grade 12 became manager of the team due to an injury. She was also active in school theatre productions and multiple clubs and committees. Paige is especially proud of her work with the school Interact Club, which sets global and local goals to work towards in partnership with the local Rotary Club.
Paige plans to major in marketing. “I would like to say a huge thank you to the Sobey Family, The Sobey Foundation, and Sobey Inc. for making my journey through university that much easier… and for assisting me in finding an environment to thrive and become the best version of myself.”
