Marley Raycroft

Marley Raycroft’s optimism is inspiring. After suffering a pulmonary embolism in September 2019, she missed the first few weeks of grade 12. When she returned to school, Marley had to fight the fatigue caused by her new medication and try to catch up on all the work she missed. “This year I studied and focused much harder than I ever knew I could,” she says.  

Marley has dreamed of going to Saint Mary’s since she was 10 years old. After completing her Bachelor of Commerce, she plans to pursue an MBA at the Sobey School of Business as well.  

“Thanks to this scholarship, I feel as if my life is only getting better from now on… This scholarship truly is a dream come true and I couldn’t thank the Sobey Family, The Sobey Foundation, and Sobeys Inc. enough for selecting me… Although this year has been very rocky for me, this scholarship made it my best year yet.”
