Alex is a fourth year finance major at SMU, he has experience in private equity, corporate development and equity research. Alex is a Fund Manager responsible for coverage of IT, Telecommunications and Industrials. He plans on pursuing a career in private equity or equity research.

Kayla is a fourth year student completing a double major in Finance and Computing & Information systems. She has worked in accounting for the provincial government and data security for IBM. She is the Fund Manager for the REITs and Healthcare sectors and is considering a career in financial technology.

Hannah is a third year student completing a double major in Finance and Economics. Last summer she interned with Scotiabank’s Global Banking and Markets team as part of the THRIVE Rotational Internship Program. She is the Fund Manager for Energy. She plans on pursuing a career in Banking or Private Equity.

Lucina Beaumont 

Lucina is a fourth-year commerce student undertaking a double major in Finance and Honours Economics with a minor in Political Science. While studying at Saint Mary's, she also contributes a leading part to the Women's Varsity Basketball team. Lucy has experience working amongst Mutual Funds & Insurance, with years within the serving industry. She is the current Fund Manager for Non-Bank Financials and the previous RA for Materials. Lucina plans to undergo her CFA designation to pursue a career in Private Equity or Wealth Management.

Ishaan is an international student originally from Chandigarh, India. He is a third-year Bachelor of Commerce student majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship. So far, he has completed two internships with Sobeys Inc. and Finance & Treasury Board, NS Government. He is the Fund Manager of the Materials sector at IMPACT. Ishaan can be seen actively involved in on-campus activities such as being a part of the SMU Venture Grade Fund and SMU Commerce Society. For his achievements in both academics and co-curriculars he was awarded the Sophomore of the Year award for the year 2021. In his free time, Ishaan enjoys playing and watching sports and is always up for a conversation about his favorite teams.

Vaandana is a fifth year Bachelor of Commerce student, pursuing a double degree in Economics (Honors) and Finance. She is the Fund Manager for the Consumer Staples/Discretionary Sector and Liaison for the IMPACT Team. In January, she will join PSP Investments in Montreal as her final work-term. After graduation in 2023, she will be working towards her CFA designation and intends to stay in the Capital markets.

Kyle is a fifth-year student studying Honours Economics and Computing & Information Systems, with a minor in German. Within the IMPACT fund, Kyle is a Fund Manager for the Financials sector and a previous Research Associate for the Energy Sector. He has also been Chair of the SMU Journal Publishing Society since 2021, has worked as an economics research assistant on geospatial analytics and machine learning, and is an enthusiastic horse rider. After graduation Kyle hopes to work within the financial sector applying data science and machine learning, but most importantly, somewhere where he can always keep learning.
