Biosketch

Dr. Maryam Dilmaghani joined Saint Mary’s in 2010 and is an associate professor of economics. She holds a PhD in economics from McGill University, a Master’s degree in Economics from Université de Montréal and a law degree from Université de Montpellier, France. Maryam’s prolific research can be viewed under the umbrella of “economics of minorities.” Her scholarly contributions have appeared in journals such as the Review of Economics of the Household, the Journal of Labor Research, and the Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Economics. She is an active contributor to the work of the Atlantic Research Group on Economics of Immigration, Aging and Diversity. She has also received a research grant for her ongoing projects from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
