Born and raised in Moncton, New Brunswick, Brian Donovan BComm’75 came to Halifax to attend Saint Mary’s where he was an active and well-known student leader and residence don. After graduation, Brian stayed in Halifax where he lived a full life with his wife, Bik; in business, as an entrepreneur, sailor and community volunteer. The strength of Brian’s friendships, many of them connected to his time at Saint Mary’s, his broad community connections and positive outlook on life are legendary.

This bursary will be available to full-time undergraduate students in second, third or fourth year enrolled in the Sobey School of Business. Preference will be given to a student from either New Brunswick or Nova Scotia. To be eligible, students must demonstrate financial need and be in good academic standing as defined in the University Calendar. This award is not renewable but may be given to a recipient in more than one year, provided that the student maintains all eligibility criteria. Award selection will be determined by Enrolment Services.
