'The Earth Ring' Presentation
Ring Talk

Date & Time: 1:00 PM on Fri, 26 January
Location: Science Building - 408

Professional Engineers wear an Iron Ring and most Professional Geoscientists wear an Earth Ring. The ring is a symbol of the Ethical commitments which the wearer has made and indicates that the wearer has the knowledge requirements for the profession. This talk will outline the mistakes made and the ethical shortcomings of two events: the collapse of the Quebec bridge in 1907 and the Bre-X disaster in 1997. The Bre-X disaster involved a Dalhousie geology graduate, John- Felderhof.

After the talk, you will be able to measure your finger to determine your ring size and place an order for an Earth Ring.
