Living on campus means you can experience the ultimate in convenience—great food options just steps away from where you live. Residence dining halls are also a great place to connect with friends from other residences and from off campus, as anyone can eat in the dining hall by paying cash at the door or purchasing a meal plan.
Visit the SMU Dining website for detailed information on the available plans.
Mandatory Meal Plans for Residents of Loyola or Vanier Residence
If you’re a resident of Loyola or Vanier Residence, you must have a meal plan, but you have several to choose from, and if the plan you choose isn’t quite enough, simply purchase additional tax-free flex dollars that can be spent at food outlets across campus. Plus, each plan includes four guest passes per semester, letting you dine with friends and family.
With one of the three mandatory meal plans you’re entitled to dine at the all-you-care-to-eat Dockside Dining Hall. Just swipe your meal card at the front and eat as much or as little as you like. It’s that simple!
Meal Plans for Senior Suites or Off Campus
Living off campus brings a different set of needs and challenges to university life. We offer voluntary meal plans for students living in senior suites or off campus, and for Faculty & Staff. All non-resident plans can be used at any time at The Dockside Dining Hall, and include Flex Dollars that can be used at our retail locations on campus.
