SMUdent Bio

Smudent Bio: I am a fourth year student in a Bachelor of Arts. I am doing my Honours degree in Anthropology, with a second major in International Development Studies and a minor in French.

Why I chose SMU: I came to Saint Mary’s because it felt like the best fit for me! I grew up near Peggy's Cove and knew I wanted to stay in Halifax. I also wanted to travel as much as I could, and I've done just that. I have been to Northern Ireland, France, and Finland, and numerous other countries along the way for exchanges and volunteer work.
Involvement on campus: I am a student employee in the Service Centre and the Centre of Academic Technologies. I am a member of the French Society and the Conflict Resolution Society, with whom traveled to Northern Ireland to facilitate workshops with Peaceful Schools International.

Saint Mary’s is a strong and supportive community. The campus is small enough that I can get to know my professors and not feel overwhelmed, but big enough that there is always new people to meet and new opportunities to grow!
I can’t wait to hear from you and answer your questions!
