Student Discipline Appeal Process
Appeals can be made against decisions of the Student Disciplinary Board to the Student Appeals Committee. The process is outlined in the Student Discipline Code.
Appeals are to be made in writing and are only granted for two conditions: if the penalty imposed by the Student Disciplinary Board is too severe and/or new and relevant information, not available at the original hearing has become available.
The decision to grant an appeal is the made by the Student Appeals Committee. This Committee consists of the Chair, Administrative Representative and Student Representative and is independent of the Student Disciplinary Board. The Student Appeal Board will not rehear the case.
