Statistics Help Now Available!

Starting January 28th, a statistics tutor will be available to help graduate and honors students with the statistics they are using in their research.

The tutor is available to help from 10 am - noon on Mondays and Thursdays and can be found in Sobey Building SB152.

If you need help with your statistics, all you need to do is stop by SB152 during the designated time. 

Information about the Tutor

Garland Xia is completing his Master's degree in biology. He specializes in R programming, data manipulation, linear regression, ordination, and data visualization.

Nova Scotia Graduate Scholarship (NSGS)

Deadline: April 10, 2019, 4 pm AT

  • Instructions for completing application:
  1. Complete the Nomination Form leaving Sections 3 and 5 blank (complete all sections except for 3 and 5)
  2. Complete the Student Confirmation Form
  3. Prepare a one-page (maximum) description of your research project (reference list can be placed on a second page)
  4. Email items 1, 2, and 3 as a single PDF file to the Program Coordinator ( by the above deadline
  5. Deliver official transcripts of all universities attended to the Program Coordinator (Sam Veres, MM304-B) by the above deadline


NSHRF Scotia Scholars Awards

Deadline: April 12, 2019, 2 pm AT

NSERC Doctoral Scholarship Program

Deadline: TBA for 2019 (typically early October)

  • For more information, click above title.
  • Students must apply via NSERC's Research Portal.

CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarship - Master’s Program
