In the fall and winter terms of each semester, the Department of Criminology employs a number of undergraduate teaching assistants. In general, we seek students who are in their senior year who have a history of a strong academic performance. Duties generally include proctoring exams and marking assignments. If you would like to be considered for a teaching assistant position, please pick up an application in the department's main office (MS 424) in late August for the fall term or in late December for the winter term.
The Department of Criminology’s faculty members are actively engaged in grant-funded research that often requires the support of undergraduate and graduate student research assistants. Students are encouraged to contact individual faculty members about the opportunities for volunteer or paid research assistant positions. Job postings will be periodically posted here.
