Patrick Power Library Booking Policy
The Patrick Power Library is pleased to provide access to a limited number of computers, study carrels, tables and study rooms for use by Saint Mary's students, staff and faculty. These items are available on the first floor of the Library, by appointment only.
Access to these spaces is in accordance with public health and the University’s Occupational Health and Safety Team.
- Each booking is limited to three (3) hours per day:
- The Library will close between bookings for cleaning. All patrons must vacate the building during this time, regardless of whether they have booked another appointment on the same day.
- Bookings are for individual use only.
- Appointments can be booked up to seven days in advance.
- Masks must always be worn in the Library, and a safe distance of 2 metres (6 feet) kept between all library patrons.
- Students, staff and faculty must present their SMU ID cards (or Confirmation of Enrollment and photo ID) to Library Staff, prior to the beginning of the reserved time.

Your health and safety are important to us; every effort has been made to ensure the cleanliness of each available study space, and all spaces are cleaned between appointments. If you are concerned about the condition of a space, please inform the Circulation Desk immediately. Do not wait until the end of the booking.
In the event of the Library closing, patrons will be notified as soon as possible.
Please respect the needs of fellow Library users by keeping the noise level to a minimum
The University's Code of Student Conduct and the Library’s Noise Policy are applicable in all spaces.
