Saint Mary’s University to Confer Two Honorary Degrees at Fall Convocation

During Fall Convocation ceremonies on Saturday, October 1st in the McNally Theatre Auditorium, Saint Mary’s University will confer honorary degrees upon two inspiring entrepreneurs.

The University is pleased to recognize the extraordinary achievements of Ms. Joelle (Joey) Adler, former President and CEO of Diesel Canada Inc. and Mr. Thomas (Tim) Moore, founder of numerous companies, including AMJ Campbell Van Lines, Oceanstone Resorts, and Premiere Executive Suites.

“Joey Adler and Tim Moore embody the positive power of entrepreneurship,” said   University President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Robert Summerby-Murray when releasing the names. “We are very pleased to recognize these remarkable individuals with the highest honour Saint Mary’s can bestow and look forward to welcoming them to the Santamarian family.”

On October 1st at 10:00 am, Mr. Tim Moore will receive a Doctor of Commerce, Honoris Causa during a Convocation ceremony for undergraduate programs in the Sobey School of Business.

In the afternoon, Ms. Joey Adler will be honoured with a Doctor of Commerce, Honoris Causa at the 2:00 pm Convocation for undergraduate programs in the Faculties of Arts and Sciences.
